Sophie Skillestad - Assistant Coach
Meet Sophie!
Sophie attended Washington State University, where she earned a degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology. During her time in school, she developed a strong understanding of the biomechanics of sport and the psychology behind athletic performance. This education only deepened her passion for movement, training, and working hard both on and off the field.
Sophie’s lacrosse career ended after high school, but her love for the game has never faded. As a former midfielder, she learned that persistence is essential — whether things are going your way or not. Those lessons continue to shape the way she approaches athletics and coaching today.
As an Assistant Coach, Sophie hopes to be a resource for the girls in many ways. While her knowledge may be broad rather than specialized, she is committed to showing up with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to help every athlete grow.
When she’s not coaching lacrosse, Sophie enjoys traveling for work and adventure, hiking, ice fishing, hunting, and spending time at Flathead Lake with her dogs, family and fiancé.
Marias McAdams - Assistant Coach
Meet Marias!
Coach Marias began her lacrosse career as a defender, but an ACL injury forced her to step away from the game for a season. That time in recovery didn’t just rebuild her knee — it reshaped her mindset. When she returned, she made the bold switch to goalie, embracing a new challenge and a new role on the field.
That experience sparked her passion for strength training and injury prevention. Today, she is a full-time personal trainer and strength coach dedicated to helping women become stronger, more confident, and more resilient athletes.
As Assistant Coach, she is committed to developing a team that is not only skilled, but physically prepared — focused on strength, durability, and reducing injuries so every player can perform at her best all season long.
